This fly is a remarkable new design constructed to fish in all water conditions from still to fast riffle. Its abdomen is built with a single strand of natural turkey quill for that fuzzy look, and the whitetail hair over the eye suspends the fly an inch under the surface. It’s a big, juicy target served under the surface film, and its testing period was phenomenal.
Who said there has to be a hatch to catch fish at the surface? We designed this fly to dredge fish up out of the hatch. This is a gorgeous belly-down bug that can be fished in all water structure, even on a hard riffle at the top of a hole. It's a little like a comparadun and a little like an emerging caddis. We don't know what the fish are keying on when they eat this fly; all we know is that you will bring more fish to the surface than a stick of dynamite! Tying session for a Black Searcher with recipes for the Pink, Mahogany, Brown, Gray, PMD, and Tan Searchers.
