Colored Emergers
Absolutely Remarkable!! This group of bugs completely solves the dilemma of a fish feeding just under the surface that won't eat the adult bug. The Colored EmergerĀ® is tied on a Daiichi 1270 hook which is 3X long. This disperses the weight to the turn of the hook. The eye shuck is Z-lon that has great floating characteristics, so the turn of the hook sinks below the surface and the Z-lon suspends it in that position. Don't let the simplicity of this fly deceive you--it could be one of the most productive flies we fish, especially in winter.
