Emergers
This collection of flies always amazes me. They are small, ugly, and simple, but fish eat them like an hors d’oeuvres before a big meal. For every adult midge and mayfly hatch, there is an emerger that proceeds them and they collect by the millions at the surface. When you see the dimple of a trout and not his nose, it’s “Emerger Time.” Identify the color and tie on a DFI emerger and let the party begin!
The bodies of most DFI emergers are constructed of biot or stripped peacock hurl; DO NOT pinch the bodies of these flies with forceps. Even though they are cemented, they will still break and unroll. Any fly DFI sells that fails in any way will be replaced at no charge.
Tantalizer Series
The “Tantalizer” Series of emergers maybe the most significant break through in dry fly fishing in years. This fly has tested magnificently over every species of trout at every elevation. It’s a super fly that was so successful we featured the Pink Tantalizer in a video we shot on the South Fork of the Snake River last fall.

Drake Series
The Drake, he's a Movie Star!! I've found over many years and numerous drake hatches the most effective delivery in that hatch is an emerger. Because the drake is such a large mayfly with very high wings the adult patterns cause air knots and tangles in your tippets and tapers. Not our bug, he's tied belly down with a biot body, and an emerging wing loop. This pattern presents a perfect silhouette that can be delivered time and again tangle free. We tie this bug in our new 2010 move "Tie Magic". (Please note that Green comes in ONLY 14, 12; sizes unavailable will be grayed out).
